Expo Online – a virtual Hong Kong Pavilion

Hong Kong will take part in Expo Shanghai Online by launching an Online Hong Kong Pavilion.

Expo Shanghai Online is an integral part of the Shanghai Expo experience and will feature the appearance, interior layout and exhibits of pavilions in an online environment.

The online pavilions will allow visitors to roam in and get an understanding of the layout and exhibited items through text, pictures, audio-video and 3D rotation features.

These online pavilions will not only help attract more visitors to the Expo, they will also provide online visitors unable to visit Shanghai with a realistic understanding of the appearance, layout and content of the various physical pavilions.

The Online Hong Kong Pavilion will 'go live' the same day as all other Online Shanghai Expo participants – 1 May 2010 – to coincide with the start of the six-month Expo period. The online pavilions will remain on the internet after the end of Shanghai Expo on 31 October 2010.
