The "Shanghai Wall Post - Journey to Expo 2010" mini-site and "Shanghai Wall Post" on Facebook were launched in May 2010 by the government youth portal. They aim to provide a common platform for young people to share their views and comments on the Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo) through blogging and photo uploading.

On July 11, 2010, the youth portal organised the "Journey to Expo 2010" workshop cum youth.gov.hk ambassador appointment ceremony at Y-Studio at Youth Square in Chai Wan. Over 100 students who will visit Shanghai Expo in August were invited to share their memorable Expo experiences and show their photos and blogs on the Shanghai Wall Post after their return.

During the workshop, popular blogger Jonathan Sin shared photos he had taken during his visit to Shanghai Expo as well as his blogging skills. A teacher at The Chinese Foundation Secondary School, Mr Tong Man Chung, and his students shared their experiences as Expo volunteers. The Youth Work Officer of the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), Mr Siu Chung Yue, and participants in the exchange programme to Shanghai Expo also provided travel tips to teachers and student ambassadors. In addition to information sharing, the Website Director of the HKFYG cum Project Manager of the "Be NetWise Internet Education Campaign", Mr Ken Ngai, advised participants on healthy Internet usage and security. Renowned DJ Alton Yu was present to boost participants' confidence.
