Roving exhibition in Tsuen Wan promotes Hong Kong at Shanghai Expo (with photos)

A roving exhibition was launched today (July 23) at CityWalk in Tsuen Wan to promote Hong Kong's participation in World Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo).

The three-day exhibition opens from 10am to 10pm daily until Sunday (July 25). Visitors will be able to inspect a model of the Hong Kong Pavilion and learn about the pavilion's design and architectural characteristics.

A photo booth will be open from noon to 8pm each day with exhibition assistants on hand to take photos of visitors. The images will be mounted in a commemorative Hong Kong Pavilion photo frame as a souvenir for visitors, while stocks last.

Other displays include exhibition panels, videos and a computer presentation to give visitors a flavour of events and activities organised by Hong Kong during the six-month Expo period.

Information about the Hong Kong Pavilion and Hong Kong's Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) Exhibition as well as the city’s virtual presence in the Expo Shanghai Online project is also provided.

The Shanghai Expo mascot "Haibao" will join the exhibition from 1pm to 5pm tomorrow (July 24) and Sunday to meet and greet visitors.

Roving exhibitions will continue to be held at different venues around Hong Kong until October.

Hong Kong has a strong Expo presence centred on the stand-alone Hong Kong Pavilion under the theme "Hong Kong - Potential Unlimited", as well as Hong Kong's UBPA Exhibition themed "Smart Card · Smart City · Smart Life". Netizens can experience the city's virtual presence in the Expo Shanghai Online project.

More than 55 events and activities are being staged by Hong Kong for Shanghai Expo to showcase the city as a modern, creative and interconnected metropolis.
