Hung Hom welcomes roving exhibition to promote Hong Kong's participation in Shanghai Expo (with photos)

A multi-media roving exhibition promoting Hong Kong's participation in Expo 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo) launched today (August 6) at MTR East Rail Line Hung Hom Station.

The exhibition will run from 10am to 10pm today and tomorrow (August 7) and from 10am to 9pm on Sunday (August 8). Visitors will be able to get a taste of the wide range of events and activities organised by Hong Kong for Shanghai Expo.

Exhibition panels, videos and a computer display provide information on the Hong Kong Pavilion, Hong Kong's Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) Exhibition and Hong Kong's virtual presence in the Expo Shanghai Online project.

The Shanghai Expo mascot "Haibao" will make a guest appearance at the Hung Hom Station exhibition to meet and pose for photos with visitors tomorrow and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm.

Roving exhibitions will continue to be held at different venues around Hong Kong until October.

Hong Kong has a strong Expo presence centred on the stand-alone Hong Kong Pavilion under the theme "Hong Kong - Potential Unlimited", as well as Hong Kong's UBPA Exhibition themed "Smart Card · Smart City · Smart Life". Netizens can experience the city's virtual presence in the Expo Shanghai Online project.

More than 55 events and activities are being staged by Hong Kong in Shanghai during the six-month Expo period to showcase Hong Kong's cultural diversity, creative talent and modern lifestyle.
