Urban Best Practices Area

The Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) is a 15-hectare site located in Section E of Puxi in the enclosed area of the Expo Site. It comprises two blocks - the south and the north, and provides an opportunity for cities to participate in the World Expo independently.

The UBPA will present original and valuable programmes and practices designed to improve the quality of urban life. It will also act as a platform for the sharing and exchange of experiences in urban construction and development.

The UBPA will be divided into four exhibition fields, namely Livable Cities, Sustainable Urbanisation, Protection and Utilisation of Historical Heritage and Technological Innovation in Built Environment.

Expo Shanghai Online

Expo Shanghai Online (Online Pavilion) is an integral part of the Shanghai Expo and revolutionises the Expo's presentation style. The Online Pavilion will represent the participant's physical pavilion under two categories, the Browsing Pavilion and the Experiencing Pavilion.

Through virtual touring, online visitors can interact with the organiser and the participants on the Internet, even if they are unable to visit the Expo in person.

Expo Shanghai Online is an introductory channel, extension and supplement of the Expo in the form of a website combining 3D exhibitions, events and interactions.
