Exhibition on Hong Kong’s Participation in Expo 2010 to open in Shanghai

A two-week exhibition in Shanghai will be staged by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government from July 1 to introduce Hong Kong’s participation in World Expo 2010.

The exhibition will offer a unique opportunity for Shanghai people to get first hand impression of what Hong Kong will showcase during the upcoming mega event.

The exhibition will be held at the Exhibition Centre of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China located on the 3/F of Hong Kong New World Tower, 300 Huai Hai Zhong Road from July 1 - 14. The exhibition will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and will be free of charge. Visitors will receive a special souvenir.

Jointly organised with the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Co-ordination, the exhibition consists of two parts. One part highlights Hong Kong's 'unlimited potential' by bringing out the themes of connectivity and creativity that will be part of the Hong Kong Pavilion experience at Expo 2010. Another part explains Hong Kong's participation in Expo's Urban Best Practices Area under the theme “Smart Card, Smart City, Smart Life”.

The exhibition includes several eye-catching design elements such as a mirror-corridor to symbolise Hong Kong's openness, transparency and infinite potential; a room of interlinking text and photos; and a lime-green string decorated room.

Starting July 1, a two-week exhibition on Hong Kong’s participation in Expo 2010 will be staged in Shanghai. Photo shows the exhibition on Hong Kong's participation in the Urban Best Practices Area Exhibition.
